KATHLEEN O’NEILL (Director/producer) is a director, actor and producer in New York City and founder of BOO-Arts.  Having performed in the Fringe Festival she is honored to be directing this year and working with Vinnie Marano again.  Some favorite directing credits include ”Gertrude Stein and A Companion” by Win Wells, “The Belle of Amherst” by William Luce, “On the Verge or the Geography of Yearning” by Eric Overmeyer, “Blithe Spirit” by Noel Coward and “Short Eyes” by Miguel Pinero.  This one is for BOO.

 

Vincent Marano (Playwright/producer) has been a fixture in the New York Theatre community for fifteen years and at the New York International Fringe Festival for the last six, directing the award-winning productions of Tim Nolan’s The Way Out (Fringe, 2002, Best Performance), Acts of Contrition (Fringe, 2003, Best Play), sold out hits Wrong Barbarians and Choking on Happiness (Fringe 2004) and his own political satire A Collapse (Fringe, 2006) and  as dramaturg on Halflife (Fringe 2005, Best Play). He produced the critically acclaimed Box Office of the Damned (with the then unknown Kristin Chenoweth). As a resident director at Belmont Italian American Playhouse he produced or directed a dozen plays, including early works by Julia Jordan, commedia dell’arte productions and Italian language productions of Pirandello, Dario Fo and Eduardo De Fillipo. Most recently, Vincent’s new translation of  Machiavelli’s The Mandrake  was staged by Daryl Boling at the manhattan theatre source to rave reviews and he directed Elza Zagreda’s highly successful one woman show Corn Bread and Feta Cheese: Growing Up Fat and Albanian  in New York and Los Angeles and his own critically acclaimed note to self  at the manhattan theatresource.  Vincent is a proud member of the Writer’s Forum (www.theatresource.org), wishes to thank his amazing cast and especially La Signora herself, Ms. Kathleen, I Signori Armstrong e Parson, Signorina Zipoy, Grand Signore Lawson, his long list of family and friends who helped inspire and spell check this play and his love Ti AMA. ELKA RODRIGUEZ (Ferra)>Originally from Tampico, Mexico, Elka performed in several classic plays in Mexico and played a lead in the sitcom Rumores. She moved to NYC to train at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and at the Barrow Group and has since performed at The Apollo Theatre (in "Latinas don't PMS"which she co-wrote), Theatre Row, P.S. 122, and Repertorio Espanol(ACE Award for best new actress of the year, 2007, "Nowhere on the Border").Elka performs regularly in commercials and voice overs. http://resumes.actorsaccess.com/elkarodriguez

 

VICTORIA BUNDONIS (La Signora) New York Theatre: The Memory of Water (Cherry Lane), Caligula (Horizon Rep), The Flood (Prospect Theater), Edward Albee’s Everything in the Garden (John Houseman Theatre).  National tours: Grease with Frankie Avalon and Susan Stroman’s revival of The Music Man.  Regional Theatre: Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts), Damn Yankees (Meg), 42nd Street (Dorothy Brock), and Footloose (Vi). She's also worked on All My Children, The Hacking Chronicles, and numerous independent short films and readings of new works. Member of Actors Equity Association

 

Ridley Parson (Onesto) has been recently seen in a Spontaneous Combustion written by the Family Guy guys, Wicked Tavern Tales(Fortunado/Alfred), Measure for Measure (Claudio - yes really), Sam Shepard's Lie of the Mind (Mike) and in Mac Rogers' critically acclaimed new work Universal Robots were he orientated the roles of Salda, Baruch and a few others to boot. Other NYC stage credits include Trey Parker's Cannibal the Musical (Bell), Two Rooms (Walker), Shades (Rick), The Mandrake (Siro), Twelfth Night (Feste (twice (so far). Regional credits include A Shot in the Dark (Paul), Pump Boys and Dinettes (Jim) and Tony and Tina's Wedding (Fr. Mark). Ridley has also been seen on the wee screen in Law & Order: Criminal Intent In memory of my father.

 

James Armstrong (Sagesto) is a New York native and Fordham University alum. His last Fringe appearance was in '03 as Father Tom in Acts of Contrition under the direction of Mr. Marano. He has also appeared in Mr. Marano's one-man show Family Portrait. His last New York stage appearance was The Truth About Love at Manhattan Theatre Source. It's great to be back at the Fringe. MICHAEL BLACK(Zlo) moved here two years ago from Tucson, Arizona and is thrilled to be a part La Vigilia. Seen this last May as George in The Actor's Nightmare at T. Schreiber Studio and the year before as Schmendiman in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, also at T. Schreiber.  Other favorites include Berowne in Loves Labours Lost for the Seattle Shakespeare Company, also Moritz in Spring Awakening, David in Taking Sides, The Writer in Tennessee Williams Vieux Carre.  Michael also enjoyed acting in two world premieres: Myron in John Olives oft-produced adaptation of Louis Sachars Sideways Stories From Wayside School at Seattle Childrens Theater and Gray in the workshop of The Singing Forest by Craig Lucas, directed by Gordon Edelstein.

 

Gabriella Willenz (Assistant Director) is a director and actor. She recently moved to New York City from Israel to deepen her knowledge in both aspects. Last stage performance was in Spontaneous Combustion written by the Family Guy creators. Recently she directed two staged readings as part of Homogenius Festival at MTS and assisted Israel Horowitz in the staged reading of his play "3 hotels".

 

Ien DeNio (Sound Design) has a particular passion for sound. If something goes bump, pang or poing, its sure to amuse her to no end. Just recently she graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, where she creaked and boinged for four years, and started doing the same out in the "real world". Her work has been heard at Manhattan Theater Source in Baby With The Bathwater, and in the Estrogenius Festival. Currently, she can be found up in Central Park at the Marionette Theater where she builds sets, jiggles puppets, and generally skulks around in black  clothing fixing things. Will Lowry(Lighting/Costume Design) is a lighting, scene, and costume designer currently assisting an award-winning Broadway designer after spending the last year as resident scene and lighting designer for the California Theatre Center in the San Jose area.
